I.T. Assistant

(FULL TIME)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Assistant to the IT Director, to help with tasks such as systems maintenance, hardware setup, and network administration. This Assistant will mostly be performing routine tech support, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks, in addition to helping with larger projects. 

This is a full time position (40 hours/week), with benefits including full medical coverage, paid vacation, 401k, and an alternative work week with half-day Fridays.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related field, or 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Expert user in Windows & Mac operating systems, comfortable troubleshooting issues for less knowledgeable users.
  • We are a mixed Mac/Windows environment, so Mac expertise is required (not optional).
  • Understanding of Windows Server / Active Directory basics
  • Experience with Linux environments (training can be provided)
  • Proficient at setting up workstations and installing/updating software
  • Basic understanding of security best practices
  • Background check: This position requires a background check. Some items may not exclude you, but crimes like fraud or theft will. You can not be on drugs of any kind for this job.

    Technical Designer

    (FULL TIME)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Design/Product Developer, to join our growing design team.  This individual will be responsible for the final fit, function and consistency in the performance of all of our men’s and women’s knitwear tops divisions. This is a critical role and key to ensuring that our products meet not only our high standards, but the standards and expectations of our end-users. This individual will manage the knitwear tops product category by establishing and adhering to consistent fit standards and manufacturing methods, create technical packs as well as manage workflow to meet seasonal calendars.

    This is a full time position (40 hours/week), with benefits including full medical coverage, paid vacation, 401k, and an alternative work week with half-day Fridays.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Overall execution of fit, grading & construction while maintaining optimum quality from initial prototype development through production approval
    • Works directly with factories to execute prototypes and effective construction within the Corporate Calendar
    • Develops and routes Technical Packages including graded specifications, construction details, detailed flat sketches and completed Bill of Materials required for an accurate, detailed costing and prototyping
    • Evaluates all prototypes/patterns for size, grading, fit and construction
    • Manages fit sessions with Product Managers, Designers and Merchants and fits garments to assure proper size, function, and aesthetic and technical execution of design
    • Reviews, revises and records specifications for changes made during the development process including fit, styling and/or construction details
    • Takes initiative to continually improve quality of fit / construction and recommend, establish and implement improvements to processes that could affect team accuracy, efficiency or cost benefits
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical designer (initial development through production)
    • Fashion Design or related degree from an accredited university
    • Computer experience including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and Full Circle
    • Ability to accurately execute garment fit issues
    • Strong knowledge applying grade rules to retain fit.
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical information via Technical Specification packages, emails, phone calls & face to face
    • Experience developing knitwear top lines a plus
    • Thorough understanding of product engineering and manufacturing process.
